Summertime is vacation time, whether we are planning the trip of a lifetime or relaxing in our own backyards. If 2020 has kept you closer to home than originally planned, why not create a private outdoor oasis right in your own backyard?
Escape to your backyard
When we think of vacation, we often think of escape. We want to leave our familiar surroundings behind. Travel means exploring new, different, and exciting places. At Horizon Landscape, we breathe new life into familiar spaces by creating inviting, relaxing outdoor destinations at home. Does your patio need updating or expanding? Is it time to install that firepit you’ve always wanted? This is the perfect time to create your very own escape from the everyday.
Imagine a beautiful outdoor oasis where you can enjoy your morning coffee, spend time with family and friends, and even work from home. A newly designed patio can serve as the perfect solitary retreat, outdoor office, and friendly gathering space. At the end of the day, invite loved ones to gather around the firepit for s’mores and conversation. Outdoor lighting installed on your home’s exterior, integrated into stone walls and patios, or strategically placed along paths and borders adds safety and ambiance to your outdoor evenings.
Once the hardscaping is installed, landscaping gives your yard beautiful, multidimensional appeal. While we often think of summer as the end of the growing season, many plants not only survive but thrive in fall’s cooler conditions. Ornamental cabbage, flowering kale, chrysanthemums, and pansies all add texture and interest to your fall garden. Ornamental grasses can be planted through the end of September. They add height, depth, and visual interest. Horizon’s landscape specialists can help you design your perfect garden and select the best plants for the fall season.
When you can’t venture too far from home, make home a place a place you won’t want to leave. Horizon is here to meet all your landscaping needs. Contact us today!
Reflection
As we look forward to marking the official end of summer with Labor Day picnics, parades, and outings, it’s helpful to pause and reflect on what Labor Day is really about. Labor Day is a celebration of the American workers’ spirit, tenacity, and resilience. It is a reminder to take pride in what we do, to recognize that our work impacts our communities, and to resolve that we will push through hardship for the benefit of ourselves, our families, and our country. Labor Day is a patriotic holiday that honors every hardworking citizen.
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
