Horizon Landscape Company located in Wyckoff, NJ, is seeking experienced and team oriented individuals to fill our Landscape and Maintenance Foreman and Laborers positions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our Landscape and Maintenance Foreman & Laborers position involves variety of service and installation tasks while maintaining company quality and safety standards.

LABORERS:

• Knowledge of landscape work (mulch, topsoil, stone, sod, hedge trimming, planting and flower installations, etc.)
• Knowledge of ride on mowers, string trimmers/weed whackers, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers
• Plantings
• Bilingual English/Spanish a PLUS
• Be able to follow directions and possess excellent mechanical aptitude
• Must be able to work outdoors in various conditions.
• Must be respectful, honest, reliable, self-motivated, and possess positive attitude

ADDITIONAL FOREMAN REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to operate Bobcats, Excavators, and other heavy construction equipment
• Valid Driver’s License A MUST
• Safely and proficiently use hand tools
• CDL License a PLUS

Responsabilidades:

Las posiciones de landscape and maintenance foreman & laborers implica una variedad de tareas de servicio e instalación, mientras mantiene los estándares de calidad y seguridad de la empresa.

Trabajadores Laborales:

• Conocimiento del trabajo paisajístico (mantillo, topsoil, piedra, césped, recorte de setos, plantación e instalaciones florales, etc.)
• Conocimiento de paseo en cortacéspedes, cortadores de mochila, recortadores de setos
• Plantaciones
• Ser bilingüe es preferible (Ingles/ Español)
• Capaz de seguir instrucciones y poseer una excelente aptitud mecánica.
• Capaz de trabajar al aire libre en diversas condiciones.
• Debe ser respetuoso, honesto, confiable, automotivado y poseer una actitud positiva.

REQUISITOS ADICIONALES PARA LA POSICION DE CAPATAZ:

• Capaz de operar Bobcats, Excavadoras, y otros equipos de construcción pesados.
• Requiere Licencia de conducir válida
• Utilice de forma segura y competente herramientas manuales.
• Licencia CDL sería una ventaja.

Position description:

Our Lawn Irrigation Service Technician position is a hands-on position to include client relations, diagnosing irrigation issues, and installing and repairing underground sprinkler and drip systems. High degree of mechanical abilities and a proactive worth ethic are qualities we value and what our customers expect.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and testing new installations, modification & upgrading of existing systems, troubleshoot and repair problems, observe pipe and valve placements, evaluate start-ups, winterization and overall operation of the irrigation system.
• Conducting and recording detailed inspections and plan/execute upgrades of client systems.
• Troubleshooting and repairing/replacing leaks, heads, valves, controllers, and system wiring.

Are you a good fit?

• We require minimum 1 year of productive and professional experience in installation, inspection and repair of irrigation systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems including plumbing, hydraulics, ditchers, pipe sizing and electric are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Sales – (Driven and love to sell!)
• Business development and account management
• Focusing on customer satisfaction and retention
• Perform field evaluations to generate add on work and up-sales
• Work closely with other departments to ensure effective cross-selling and upselling
• Assist in the administration and billing of all departmental work
• Schedule and manage work to ensure it is completed on time and on budget
• Manage the quality of work and communication between techs/crews and clients
• Ensure department achieves sales and production goals
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years Sales experience
• Minimum 3 years of prior experience in the landscaping/green industry, including at least 1-year supervisory experience
• Technology, software, and computer literacy.
• Outgoing, communicative, and proactive
• Organization skills to train, plan and direct
• Effectively communicate in English —- Bi-Lingual a PLUS
