Outdoor Pest Management
Pest Control Program
Horizon Landscape offers a comprehensive pest control program for your entire property in Bergen County, NJ. Our quality exterior pest control programs are administered by NJ State certified applicators, and are designed to be safe for your family, pets, and the environment.
This mosquito control program also controls gnats, ticks, fleas, spiders, bed bugs, chinch bugs, stink bugs, and most exoskeleton insects. It is safe and natural and not harmful to beneficial insects such as bees, butterflies, or earthworms. Treatments are applied to frequently habituated areas, wooded perimeters, under shrubs, and other areas where these pests are likely to breed. 5 treatments are recommended, applied every 5 weeks.
The application has the scent of cedar and is completely organic. It can be sprayed directly on swing sets and patios without causing discoloration. Treated areas may be used 15 minutes after application.
Because of the discomfort they cause and the viruses they can carry, mosquitoes are one of summer’s most unwelcome guests. At this time there have been no reported locally transmitted cases of Zika virus. But due to the fact that the species of mosquito that carries the virus does live in Northern NJ and there is no vaccine, many people are concerned and looking for mosquito control applications for their property.
Exterior Pest Control
Our 4-treatment Exterior Pest Control program provides full season protection for your home from common household pests such as ants, cockroaches, ticks, spiders, earwigs, centipedes and more. Special attention is given to all entry points, including doorways, windows, eaves, and overhangs. When warmer weather brings outdoor activities around your home, you want to be sure your yard and landscape is safe and free from pests that could potentially find their way inside.
Treatments are spaced evenly from spring through fall. Spider web removal under accessible areas such as porch, eaves and windows is performed with each visit. The application is water based, non-irritating, and odorless. It leaves no residues and causes no damage to plants. THIS PROGRAM DOES NOT INCLUDE TREATMENT INSIDE OF THE HOME.
Deer on your property increase the risk of Lyme disease and cause damage to your expensive landscape. For deer control treatments, the repellent we use is the #1 choice of landscapers, arborists, foresters and professional growers. It is proven to outlast and outperform all other repellents. And it is weather-resistant.
Six (6) treatments are recommended, applied every five (5) weeks starting in late spring and throughout the growing season. The product provides six months of over-winter protection on dormant plants, and also repels small animals including rabbits, chipmunks, and squirrels.
This is the first animal repellent to be listed as organic by OMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute), and is non-toxic, biodegradable and harmless to people, plants and environment. This product also acts as a fertilizer, and is safe to use on fruits, vegetables, and annual flowers. Allow to dry 24 hours before watering. Pets should be kept from treated areas until dry.
Horizon Landscape Company, Inc. uses an EPA-approved goose repellent, which is odorless, weatherproof, naturally occurring, and environmentally safe. 2 applications, one in early spring and the second one two weeks later, provide protection from grass destruction and widespread feces resulting from the invasion of Canadian geese on properties near water.
The application works by making the turf unappetizing to eat, as well as treating the grass with an ultraviolet factor containing compound that can be seen by geese but is undetectable by humans. The product trains geese to seek another feeding area and poses no risk to the birds, humans, pets, wildlife, or vegetation.
Our Guarantee: If you purchase all of the recommended treatments within a program, callbacks for retreatment are free of charge. We stand behind the products we use, and our goal is your complete satisfaction.
