Our Guarantee

HORIZON LANDSCAPE COMPANY warranties all exterior nursery shrubs and trees sold and installed by us to be true to name, free from disease, sound and healthy at the time of installation and capable of living for a period of one (1) year from the date of installation. We will make replacement of any such shrubs or trees one (1) time with a plant of the same size and variety without cost to the consumer, providing death occurs within the said one (1) year period. The client shall provide the plants with all reasonable and proper care.

HORIZON LANDSCAPE COMPANY warranties all perennials sold and installed by us to be true to name, free from disease, sound and healthy at the time of installation and capable of living for a period of six (6) months from the date of installation. We will make replacement of any such perennial one (1) time without any cost to the consumer, providing death occurs within the said six (6) month period. The client shall provide the perennials with all reasonable and proper care.

HORIZON LANDSCAPE COMPANY warranties all sod sold and installed by us to be free from disease, sound and healthy at the time of installation and capable of living for a period of three (3) months from the date of installation. We will make replacement of any such sod one (1) time without any cost to the consumer, providing death occurs within the said three (3) month period. The client shall provide the sod with all reasonable and proper care.

HORIZON LANDSCAPE COMPANY provides a five (5) year warranty for installation workmanship on all hardscape landscape products such as pavers, segmental block retaining walls and other man made materials supplied and installed by us. Manufacturers provide their own warranties on materials for landscape.

Exclusions

  1. Annuals, living Christmas trees, plants in tubs or planter boxes.
  2. Any plants, shrubs, trees or sod which have not been given reasonable and proper care by the consumer; or any product which has had improper use by the consumer.
  3. Losses due to drought, fire, flood, tornado, other severe weather conditions (e.g.: extreme winter weather), vandalism, theft, animals, lack of or excess moisture, or other factors beyond the control of HORIZON LANDSCAPE COMPANY.
  4. Any plants, shrubs, trees, or sod which have had improper applications of pesticides or fertilizer.
  5. Any plants, shrubs, trees, or sod planted at the consumers’ property that were not supplied by HORIZON LANDSCAPE COMPANY at the time of said planting.
  6. Any plants, shrubs, trees or sod which have been transplanted on the client’s property.
  7. When work has not been paid for in accordance with the contract.

Client Responsibility

The client is responsible for providing the following maintenance:

  1. Proper watering of all plants, seed, and sod as per the Watering Guidelines for Your New Lawn and Landscape
  2. Be sure your irrigation system is operating properly and notify Horizon immediately if you notice any problems with it.
  3. Provide landscape pest control to keep your landscape plants free of injurious animals, insects and diseases by timely and proper applications of pesticides if not maintained by Horizon Landscape Company.
  4. Keep plantings free of weeds unless Horizon Landscape Company maintains your property.
  5. Notify Horizon immediately if you notice any problems with your plants, shrubs, trees, sod or sprinkler system.

Sprinkler Guarantee

Your system was installed using the highest quality products and best practices at the time of installation. During the first year all new installations are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship and will be repaired free of charge. Manufacturers also provide warrantees on their products. Below are guidelines to individual part warranties, although they may vary between manufacturers:

  • Sprinkler heads 5 years
  • Zone valves 5 years
  • Controllers 2 years
  • Rain sensor 5 years
  • HydraWise Controller 2 years

After the first year, for the balance of the warranty, the part will be replaced for the cost of labor only. The warrantee applies to actual defects in material and workmanship and does not cover damages by acts of vandalism, theft, snowplow, mower damage or acts of God. System must be maintained and winterized by Horizon during this warranty period. If you notice a problem with your sprinkler system report it to Horizon immediately.
